Description

Legartis is on a mission: to unlock legal work at scale.

We set the standard for AI-powered contract review. Today we build a holistic platform that changes how legal teams operate from review to negotiation, powered by our Legal Agent. We are looking for the person who makes that value real for customers: in the demo, in onboarding, and inside the AI itself.

When you join Legartis, you don't just take a job, you take ownership. We are a team of product builders and legal experts. We don't chase hype; we build substance.

Your mission

This is not a classic legal role, and not a classic sales or product role. You operate at the intersection of Law, Revenue, and AI, where you are a lever, not a bottleneck: your job is to build the demos, playbooks, and standards that let the whole company scale, and to step into the calls where your expertise closes the gap.

1. Commercial impact. You help win and grow customers. You build and run demos that create a "wow" moment, join high-stakes prospect calls as the legal expert who speaks at eye level with GCs, and run our trials and workshops: onboarding sessions where customers solve their own use cases live, with you coaching. You turn objections into use cases and interest into next steps, and you enable our Sales team to tell the legal story without you in the room. You think of outcomes in terms of trial-to-signature conversion, adoption, expansion.

2. Customer transformation. Once a deal is signed, you make the value real by acting as a strategic sparring partner in onboarding: defining review requirements, tuning playbooks and prompts, and showing legal teams where Legartis delivers the highest ROI. You turn individual learnings into scalable standards and documentation.

3. Making the AI better. You work hands-on with the Legal Agent: prompting, testing, diagnosing where it breaks and why. You feed what you learn from customers back into Product and Engineering (playbook quality, test sets, edge cases) so the product improves with every customer.

4. Internal legal support. You don't just sell the tool; you use it. When necessary, you support Legartis as in-house counsel on contract reviews and specific legal questions.

Your profile

We are honest: people who combine all of this are rare. We hire for aptitude and attitude, assess hands-on in a case study, and train the rest side by side, in real customer work.

1. You can sell the product (key). Not in the cold-calling sense, but in the way a great expert sells: by making the customer succeed in front of their own team. Concretely, this means you can (or want to learn to):

  • Run a live demo with confidence including customized, high-stakes demos and recover gracefully when something doesn't land: pull out a better prompt, adjust on the spot, turn a skeptical question into a stronger result.
  • Coach the customer hands-on. In trials and hackathons, the customer drives and you navigate: you get them to enter their own real legal questions, create the first "wow" moment themselves, and build the habits (saved prompts, reusable workflows) that make them stay.
  • Turn objections into use cases. When a customer says "that won't work for us" or "we'll build it ourselves," you respond with a concrete path: a workaround, a workflow, the honest maintenance cost of the alternative. You're straight about limits, because credibility is what closes.
  • Speak at eye level with GCs and legal teams asking sharp discovery questions, translating their friction points into what the product can do, and framing value in their language (ROI, risk, time saved).
  • Always leave with a next step. Trial licenses, a hackathon, a follow-up workshop, a scoped rollout conversation. You instinctively convert interest into momentum, and you remove friction ("we can make that happen") rather than adding process. Ideally you can point to moments where you influenced a deal, a renewal, or an expansion in any prior role.

2. Legal foundation. Solid legal training and hands-on experience with commercial contracts from in-house, law firm, or legal tech. You understand the "why" behind a clause and can teach that logic to an AI and to a customer. A German 2. Staatsexamen is welcome but not required: we explicitly encourage candidates with qualifications from other jurisdictions or non-traditional paths (e.g. law + IT).

3. Hands-on AI builder. You have spent serious time with LLMs, not as a spectator, but pushing them to their limits. You see prompting and evaluation as a craft and enjoy figuring out where AI systems break and how to fix them.

4. Ownership & communication. You can point to things you built, launched, or drove. You are structured enough to run projects with multiple stakeholders, and precise enough to know that a sharp prompt beats a thousand vague instructions. Excellent German and English; other languages are a plus.

Why us?

  • Impact over hype. You define a new discipline at the intersection of law, revenue, and AI. Your work directly shapes how thousands of legal professionals will operate.
  • Leverage, not grind. You build the standards, playbooks, and demos that multiply your expertise across the whole company.
  • We invest in you. Structured training on the Legal Agent, side-by-side customer calls, and a clear growth path — we build the capability the market doesn't have yet.
  • True ownership. Competitive salary and employee stock options (ESOP).
  • Offices in Berlin, Leipzig, and Zurich with a flexible hybrid setup, plus apéros, lunches, and hiking trips.
